There is no application to download and the technology adapts the quality of the video stream to deliver an optimised TV experience.

Yamgo puts TV in your pocket and gives you instant access to breaking news, TV shows, music videos, live sports and the best entertainment on the move.

Launched in 2005, Yamgo is a leading mobile TV company run by TV enthusiasts and mobile TV experts who are passionate about bringing the best quality TV to mobile devices worldwide.

I spoke to Ian Mullins, Yamgo’s CEO, and asked what system he was looking for when he approached the market. Ian replied: “Initially I wanted storage, lots of cheap storage and some sort of archive facility”.

Ian trawled the internet, visited trade shows and spoke to industry luminaries to find the right solution and a supplier who actual knew how to specify a solution, and then supply and install it.

After several months, Ian narrowed it down and after visiting several solutions providers. One company name kept popping up in his research “Video Rescue”. Ian remembers well the first meeting with them; “I arrived at the office, did a swift presentation of Yamgo and detailed what I wanted from them.”  Ben and Dominic listened intently, took notes then spent the next few hours detailing strengths and weaknesses within Ian’s plan and came up with a frame work which gave Yamgo not only a huge amount of storage, but also a complete workflow which allowed remote connectivity.

After several consultancy meetings, a test rig was built within the GB Labs R & D centre and stress tested to death, this was then linked to a data centre in Holland and again, tested 24/7. As the solution was cutting edge, several issues were raised but these were quickly solved.

Due to the exhaustive testing, Yamgo were able to move forward at pace with a quality robust solution which allowed Ian to approach major network providers knowing his company had the strongest possible backbone.

Asked whether Ian would recommend Video Rescue he replied “Without question, they not only listened to what I had to say, but had the knowledge and pedigree to point out glaring errors in my plans which other solutions providers had not even seen! They created a solution within my budget and on time which has allowed Yamgo to venture forward.”
