Mini Space

Developed for journalists in the field, as a portable shared storage unit to work with laptops.

Designed to be carried around and to work with laptops, the 8-drive Mini Space is much smaller and lighter than standard Space units. Yet it still offers RAID 6 protected storage to give you peace of mind knowing that your valuable data is always backed up.

Optimised for digital content management, Mini Space works safely and quickly with any mix of Mac, Windows or Linux clients. Able to use standard Ethernet connectivity, Mini Space is easy to install without new cabling or client adaptor cards.

Mini Space comes with four 1G Ethernet (GbE) ports for connecting client workstations. For best performance these GbE ports should be channel bonded to a GbE switch and client workstations connected to the switch.

There’s also an expansion slot for adding a network card to double the number of GbE clients that can be directly connected to Mini Space. You can also use it to add two 10GbE ports to connect 10GbE client workstations that need more performance than through a GbE connection.

Mini Space can be powered from AC or the optional external 12V DC PSU. It uses internal removable dual redundant AC power supplies to enable easy cartridge replacement in the field.
